We are a Church of Scotland congregation within the Fife Presbytery.
We serve everyone in our parish and community through the services, events, groups and support available all year round.

Our Team
Rev. Gillian Patterson
Parish Minister
Gillian is our Minister and was ordained here on
3rd November 2010.
Gillian leads our worship Services, conducts Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, runs many groups within the church and is involved in lots of community work such as being the Padre for the Methil Sea Cadets, and Chaplain to Aberhill Primary School.
Alastair Stark
Probationary Minister
Ally is a Probationary Minister with the Church of Scotland and is with us at Wellesley until the end of September 2025. He lives with his wife and two young children.
Ally has previously worked as a Ministries Development Worker, as a Guidance Adviser, and in University Access. Ally considers it a privilege to journey alongside people, often through the many highs and lows of their lives.
Linda Gartshore
Session Clerk
Linda's main duties as Session Clerk are to call and prepare and minute meetings of the Kirk Session; to be responsible for all Records of the congregation; to see to the functioning of the Session and to be concerned for the welfare of the congregation. All these things are important in adhering to Church law, however, Linda sees her role as a support to the minister and a team member on the Kirk Session and to be approachable to the congregation and community.
Our Elders
We have 24 Elders at Wellesley Parish, all of whom are responsible, along with our Minister, for the spiritual life of the congregation.
Many of them are responsible for the pastoral care of members within the Church by having a “District” which average 12 homes for elders to visit.
In addition, Elders carry out door duty at Services, take part in committee work and are heavily involved in the life of the congregation.
The Elders make up the Kirk Session which meets 5 times per year to discuss the spiritual life of the Church, including prayer, Bible study, worship, pastoral care and the education of people of all ages.
